The countdown begins...

Seven weeks till departure.  Just had my polio booster and got my malaria pills.  All the other vaccinations I already had from my Peru trip in Feb.
Now I need to start packing the box for the primary school where I'll attempt to set up a "library" of beginning English materials.  I'll also take along classroom supplies (maps, posters, pencils, etc.).  50# limit--wish me luck!

Blogging 101

Hello,
I am attempting to start my first (and maybe only) blog in order to update family & friends about the upcoming trip to Tanzania.  Thank you Hilary for assisting the technically challenged baby boomer!  And Ian, my personal techie who is in the peanut gallery awaiting disaster.  Please stay tuned--I leave Sept. 13. Read and see my progress setting up a small library at a primary school, watch me changing diapers at an orphanage, go with me to Nairobi with a visit to Mt. Kilimanjaro if weather permits, see safari wildlife.
